Ideology
Marxism consists of the political theories of Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, later developed by their followers to form the basis of communism, progressivism, and the woke movement. Socialism is an economic system characterised by social ownership of the means of production and centralised management of the economy.
Central to Marxist theory is an explanation of social change in terms of economic factors, according to which the means of production provide the economic base which influences or determines the political and ideological superstructure. Marx and Engels predicted the revolutionary overthrow of capitalism by the proletariat and the eventual attainment of a classless communist society.
Due to the failure of original Marist theory, contemporary Marxist thought has reoriented itself and relies heavily on Critical Theory, seeking to apply those theories in psychotherapy as the means of political and cultural change. This is accomplished by use of subjective bias to magnify the critical consciousness, also known as woke, a worldview that sees society in terms of systems of power, privilege, dominance, oppression, and marginalisation, and to incentivise activism by any means necessary, ultimately leading toward destabilisation of the status quo and eventual revolution.
Following the revolution, the means of production would be socialised, with production and distribution organised to directly satisfy economic demands and human needs. Distribution would be based on the principle to each according to their contribution. Unfortunately for adherents, the economic calculation problem continues to be an obstacle to socialist economic theory and practical implementation.
Followers
Marxist socialists support a balance of both cultural freedom and restriction alongside maximum restrictions on economic freedom. Marxist socialists oppose all private property rights. Marxist socialists do not tolerate criticism of their ideology.
Allies
Marxist socialists will ally themselves with other socialists, known as useful idiots, for as long as they derive utility from the association. Once their usefulness ends, Marxist socialists will betray their allies, often with deadly force.
Enemies
Marxist socialists consider liberals and capitalists to be their enemies and seek to destroy them utterly for daring to end the tradition of collectivism that was practiced for most of human history. Marxist socialists will employ entryist strategies to infiltrate and subvert liberal and capitalist organisations so as to destroy them from within.
Location on the political spectrum
Marxist socialism is located at the centre far-left of the political spectrum. It is bordered by international socialism, authoritarian socialism, social democracy, libertarian socialism, and democratic socialism. As it is a fringe ideology, Marxist socialism does not occupy as much space on the spectrum as more mainstream ideologies.
